2/3/2017 0 Comments Day Six...Hai'an students experienced an RHS pep assembly today; games, songs, and recognition in front of 1,600 students! Falcons showed our Chinese guests true Rochester school spirit. Exchange students then headed to Great Lakes Crossing to go shopping and ended the week at the O'Rena for the Rochester vs. Adams Crosstown Showdown basketball game! We are so thankful to have been able to host 25 students from Nantong, China and exchange cultures and traditions with each other.

2/2/2017 0 Comments Day Five...
Exchanges students toured the Rouge Factory and Henry Ford Museum on Thursday. During the evening RHS hosted a Closing Dessert Ceremony for all of the host families, host students, and our Hai'an guests. We were able to hear stories and high lights of the week from everyone in attendance.
2/1/2017 0 Comments Day Four...
Day four began at Rochester High School where exchange students attended the first part of the day with their host student. Three students from Hai'an presented to Rochester High School students and staff on their school and city. Following the presentation, RHS Student Council sponsored a pizza lunch for the exchange and host students and Chinese students headed to Ann Arbor to tour the University of Michigan's campus. After visiting U of M our exchange students went to a Pistons game at the Palace!
1/31/2017 0 Comments Day Three...Students attended part of the school day at Rochester High and then both exchange students and host students visited the DIA. 1/30/2017 0 Comments Day two...Students from Hai'an Senior High School shadowed Rochester High School students throughout a normal school day, including eating in the cafeteria. The teachers from Hai'an observed classes at RHS, toured the building, and then visited other schools in the district. 1/29/2017 0 Comments Day one...
After a long flight from China our 29 guests came straight to RHS from Detroit Metro Airport for a welcome dinner and to meet their host families. Buddy's Pizza donated food for the dinner to give Hai'an students and teachers a true Detroit welcome. Mr. Neil DeLuca, Rochester High School Principal, and Dr. Robert Shaner, Rochester Community Schools Superintendent, led the celebration by welcoming our guests and thanking host families for making history.
